Hajj time is starting last Monday.
We are almost homogenic nation. Almost no one has to remember about our historical connections with Islam, almost no one knows, we have our own muslims since ages. For them Hajj is most important.
Hala Sultan Tekke near Larnaca in Cyprus… sacred place for both, muslims and christians too… The mosque and graves here are Islam’s third holiest place, with the Kaaba in Mecca and the Mosque of the Prophet in Medina, because here is grave of Islamic prophet Muhammad’s ‘wet-nurse’ and the wife of Ubada bin al-Samid.
Its secondary target (Mecca is primary) for obligatory (once in a life) pilgrimage for muslims to find peace. After finish his own pilgrimage muslim has right to connect „hadji” before the name (what means someone who pilgrimed to saint place and be holly now)…
We aren’t muslims, but we wrote all of that, because we think: fear of dissidence is a base of an evil. Eveywhere, everytime. We were tolerant country in the past, we hope: we are still. Respect for all people, regardles religious point of view, who have enough power to search a God.
Of course, our Jelonki have to see everything on them own way as well ;). Dont be silly, dont be angry, they are young and small, they are pilgrims too:
